SUPERSTAR SPOTLIGHT
featuring
Hot Shot
Mike Reed

by Josh Martin

He is perhaps the most entertaining wrestler (both in the ring and in the dressing room) on the ECWA roster. He is Hot Shot Mike Reed from California. Reed who has a language all his own, also brings a unique blend of qualities and talent to the squared circle with him. This performer has everything in his arsenal. He has size, power, strength, technical skills, brawling tactics and a sense of how to blend all those attributes together which makes him a dangerous force in the ECWA. On top of his tremendous in ring abilities, he has one of the most unique delivery styles of anyone ever interviewed in the promotion. His choice of words and delivery of such, make him quite entertaining to listen to, even if you don't agree with his in ring tactics. One cannot deny the great talents of the Hot Shot and 2007 is shaping up to be quite a year for this young performer. I had the opportunity to pose several questions to this ECWA star. I hope you enjoy!

What made you want to get into wrestling? I've been a wrestling fan all my life as a kid I was obsessed with it to a fault. I would watch wrestling
on Saturday mornings then I would put a wrestling tape on and watch some more. After watching wrestling for so long, my friends, had seen me beat
up enough people, told me I should give it a shot. (pun intended) Baby!!

When did you join the ECWA? April 2006 at the Super 8 Summit Battle Royal Baby!!!

How did you joining the ECWA come about? Well, I had been feuding with Scotty Charisma all over the east coast. I also knew Scotty wrestled for
the ECWA so I figured I'd take this feud to the best wrestling organization. I went to Jim Kettner and demanded a match with his former champion. Crowbar was in attendance that day, knowing that he is a friend of Scotty I told him and Jim Kettner to send Scotty a message for me. I demanded a match with Scotty Charisma, the match was set and the rest is history. Baby!!!

How did the Hot Shot Mike Reed character come about? The "Hot Shot "Mike Reed is no character baby!! I am the real deal Baby! Nothing phony about me ."Pretty Boy" Larry Sharpe Ed Atlas, and Jim Molineaux all knew they had something special with me, they knew I had the wrestling ability to be
a top performer. They saw how I carried myself with my walk and my talk, the next thing they said is "You're a "Hot Shot" Baby!!!

What is the Hot Shot Mike Reed character all about? I am the same in the ring as I am in the locker room and outside of wrestling. I'm loud, I'm
colorful, I'm brash, I'm willing to do what it takes to win a match and be successful. If I'm not trying to be successful in life I'd be a loser like
the majority of the people reading this right now.

Your thoughts on the current state of the wrestling business? I think the wrestling business isn't as good as it could or should be mainly because WWE needs the "Hot Shot" Mike Reed on it's roster then, you will see crowds like the 80's and late 90's.Baby!!
