  By: Josh Martin

Continuing with our series of Superstar Spotlights, we are pleased to bring the next installment to you that features one of the brightest stars in the ECWA, the flashy manager known as Magnum. While many may dislike this master of mayhem there is no denying his extraordinary talents in and out of the ring! For a man who mouths off a lot and aggravates so many, and dresses so differently, strangely enough, he has backed up his words in and out of the ring. Talk about "don’t judge a book by it’s cover" that describes Magnum. Although some question his tactics and wild wardrobe, he has turned out to be quite an athlete in the squared circle, surprising many with a string of victories. His managerial skills are second to none and no one can deny the success that wrestlers have under his guidance. A man of many talents, I had the opportunity to sit down and pose some questions to this complex ECWA personality. I hope you enjoy!

Ring Name? Magnum

Height? 5' 10"

Character hails from? The runways of New York, Milan, Paris, and Los Angeles

Birthdate? (month & day) May 10

Years Pro? I've been awesome my whole life.

Trained by? Marcus Schenkenberg, Tyson Beckford, Jim Kettner, Frederick of Hollywood

Where did you train? Ford Model Agency

Favorite moves? The Moonwalk, Windmill, and the Slap in the Face

Notable ECWA feuds? Freak Nastty, "Original" Chick Magnets, anyone with the last name Logan

Favorite ECWA opponents? That really, really ugly guy who sits in the front row.

How long have you been in wrestling? My hiatus from the glitz and glam of celebrity stardom and inception into the world of professional wrestling began in May 2008.

What made you want to get into wrestling? I started watching pro wrestling at 3 years old with my grandfather. I have been a faithful fan ever since. There’s no other business that I can think of that combines athleticism, style, and creativity.

When did you join the ECWA? May 10, 2008

How did you joining the ECWA come about? It was a legendary night at an exclusive five-star restaurant. I dined with both Jim Kettner and JJ The Crew Guy and we exchanged ideas, and I told them who Magnum was all about, all the while trying to ignore the flashing lights of the paparazzi. Amongst the excitement and interruptions for autographs, I signed on the dotted line with ECWA thinking it was simply another piece of paper handed to me by a gushing fan. But since I believe there are no accidents in life, I figured I'd go for it and add my flavor to the ECWA.

What do you like about the ECWA? As much as you hear me whine and complain about the administration and fans of the ECWA, there really is no other place like it in professional wrestling. Everything is super organized, the talent respects each other, and everyone comes together to put on a great show. Everyone wants to be part of the ECWA for a reason… because it’s the best.

What do you think about the ECWA fans? I do my best NOT to think about the ECWA fans, but they enter my nightmares all too often.

What have been your favorite ECWA moments? A highlight was my steel cage match against Freak Nastty (I won, remember?) when Andrew Ryker revealed himself as Freak's attacker. The aftermath was sweetened by Frederick of Hollywood’s impromptu grabbing of a broom to sweep the garbage (Freak) out of the ring.

How did the Magnum character come about? Magnum isn't just an alter-ego, he’s a super-ego… it’s like letting out your inner child and having him infect and take over the rest of you.

What is the Magnum character all about? Magnum is awesomeness personified. It's hard to explain what awesome is to people who aren't awesome simply because to understand awesome you have to be awesome. But, in common-folk speak, Magnum is hip, cool, and on the bleeding edge of fashion. He doesn’t follow trends; he sets them. Magnum realizes that winning is everything, but winning is nothing unless you look great at the same time.

Your thoughts on the current state of the wrestling business? I've always said professional sports would be more interesting if there were storylines. Pro wrestling has been and will forever be my soap opera… Right now, every business is hit hard by the economy, but I think wrestling stays strong due to its loyal fan base and dedicated talent. It’s the great escape! Plus, unlike professional sports, you don’t need to take out a small mortgage to attend an event.

Favorite Food? When I want to be bad, it's all about Italian food and chocolate Oreo and M&M Blizzards from Dairy Queen.

Favorite music? Classic new wave and alternative.

Favorite band/artist? Depeche Mode, My Chemical Romance, Beastie Boys, OMD, Bon Jovi, The Cure

Favorite color? Green

Favorite sports team? I have no interest in professional sports. I participate in life and refuse to live vicariously through others. People cheer for Magnum. Magnum cheers for no one.

Favorite athlete? Andre Agassi

Favorite wrestlers? Chris Jericho, Hiro Matsuda, John Morrison, and Darren Young

Favorite TV shows? Modern Family, So You Think You Can Dance, Project Runway, The Office, Tosh.0, Make Me a Supermodel, The Soup

Favorite movies? The Princess Bride, The Godfather 1 & 2 (there is no 3!), The Matrix, Road House, Zoolander, The Big Lebowski, Pootie Tang

Favorite actor? Brad Pitt, John Malcovich, John Turturro

Favorite actress? Christina Ricci

What sports do you like to watch? I'd rather play than watch.

What sports do you like to play? BMX racing and dirt jumping, tennis, basketball, baseball … I'm awesome at just about everything.

What hobbies do you have? Fashion design, photography, dancing, being awesome.

What do you do in your spare time? I volunteer at an animal shelter. I walk homeless dogs, and try to find them and cats loving homes. Animals rule.

What kind of work outside wrestling to you do? Web design and development, fitness consultation for Renegade Training

Who have been your biggest inspirations? Definitely my family… they've supported everything I've ever done, no matter how insane or unusual.

What are your aspirations (professional & personal)? To someday be on Dancing With the Stars.
