Every so often a young superstar enters the ECWA and immediately captures the attention of the fans. Such is the case with Chase Del Monte, the current ECWA Mid Atlantic Champion. He arrived in November 2004 and was an instant hit with fans of all ages.

Since debuting in the promotion, he has held his own with the likes of Mr. Ooh La La, Hurricane John Walters, The Chick Magnets and Xavier.

Chase is a very likable young athlete who brings a ton of fire, energy and charisma to the ring every time he performs.

How long have you been in wrestling? I started training at the CTC in September of 2003, and made my professional debut in March of 2004.

What made you want to get into wrestling? I can't really say there was one thing that made me want to wrestle. It was something I loved and knew that I needed to try.

When did you join the ECWA? November of 2004

How did you joining the ECWA come about? I was fortunate enough to be a part of the ongoing talent trades between the ECWA and Chaotic Wrestling. The fans were quick to liking me and I soon became a regular addition to the roster.

What do you like about the ECWA? The opportunity to work for the longest running Independent promotion is in itself a huge honor. But now to hold a title with in my rookie year that has a lineage with such ECWA icons like Ace Darling and the Cheetah Master is something I could have only dreamed of.

What do you think about the ECWA fans? The ECWA are some of the most passionate and die hard fans that I have encountered on the all of the East Coast. They are very appreciative of everything we do for them, which makes going out there even more fun.

What have been your favorite ECWA moments? With out a doubt winning the Mid-Atlantic Championship, and every successful title defense so far!

How did the Chase Del Monte character come about? Well that is a really easy question, Chase Del Monte is me. What you see is what you get. The person behind Chase is very much the same person you see in the ring. Usually my hair is kept a little neater, and I'm not always yelling so much, but the differences are small.

What is the Chase Del Monte character all about? In a word I'd say fun. I love stepping thru that curtain and feeding off the energy from the fans. I look at every match as my own Rock concert and I try give the people all I have. When your really having fun the people can sense it.

Your thoughts on the current state of the wrestling business? I think the business as a whole has reached a valley similar to the early 90's. After such a wild and unprecedented boom period things are no doubt going to need to come back down to earth. I think this has actually benefited the Independent scene, since now the only alternative really to WWE is local independents. But I would bank on business taking another upturn and perhaps this time going even further.

Favorite Food? French Fries from the Jersey Boardwalk

Favorite music? I listen to just about everything, but Rock is definitely my favorite.

Favorite band/artist? That's an easy one, Bon Jovi!

Favorite color? Blue

Favorite sports team? Not a huge sports guy, but I would say the NY Giants.

Favorite athlete? Michael Jordan

Favorite wrestlers? Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin, Sting

Favorite TV shows? Family Guy, South Park

Favorite movies? True Romance, Memento, Scarface

Favorite actor? Johnny Depp

Favorite actress? Jessica Biel

What sports do you like to watch? Football

What sports do you like to play? Dodgeball

What hobbies do you have? Spelunking

What do you do in your spare time? Between work and wrestling there isn't much free time. I am a big movie buff and love going to the movies though.

What kind of work outside wrestling to you do? I work for a Home Party Company doing Sales and Recruiting.

Who have been your biggest inspirations? Well with out a doubt I would have to say my parents. If it wasn't for them Chase Del Monte would not have ever existed. They are my two biggest fans and with out their support none of what I do would be possible.

What are your aspirations (professional & personal)? My aspirations are basically intertwined. I want to continue to improve and grow as a wrestler and hopefully one day be able to make a living off wrestling. Whether it be for the WWE or whoever else may come along, wrestling full time is my ultimate goal.
